Course Synopsis: :This course provides participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills required for Certificate in Environmental Management. It integrates theoretical learning, group discussions, case studies, presentations, role-plays with interactive workshops designed to enhance professional competence and workplace readiness.

Module 3: Environmental Policies, Law & Governance (3 weeks – 2 credits)

  • National environmental laws and regulations
  • Environmental policies and governance structures
  • International conventions (Paris Agreement, CBD, Ramsar, CITES)
  • Role of government, NGOs, and community in environmental management

Module 4: Pollution Control & Waste Management (3 weeks – 2 credits)

  • Types of pollution: air, water, soil, noise
  • Solid waste and hazardous waste management
  • 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and circular economy
  • Case studies of waste management practices

Module 5: Tools & Techniques in Environmental Management (3 weeks – 2 credits)
